The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has announced the commencement of inspection processes for pharmacy institutions for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic session. This circular was issued on May 8, 2024.
The circular states that all inspections will be conducted using a dedicated mobile application available on the Google Play Store.
Guidelines for Institutions:
Students
- Mandatory attendance for all enrolled students.
- Registration on the PCI Portal is mandatory.
- Students must have their Smart Cards available during the inspection.
Faculty
- Mandatory attendance for all faculty members.
- All faculty must be present during the inspection.
- Leave letters with justifications must be submitted for absent faculty through the app.
- Faculty registration on the PCI Portal is mandatory.
- Smart Cards and relevant documents must be presented by faculty during the inspection.
Infrastructure
- All infrastructure elements (classrooms, labs, facilities, etc.) must display active QR codes.
- Active QR codes are mandatory for all equipment within the institution.
- Missing or non-functional QR codes will result in deficiencies.
Documents
- Faculty must possess relevant documents for verification.
- Institutions must have all documents matching information submitted in the Self-Improvement Framework (SIF) during the inspection.
These revised guidelines and the mobile app aim to streamline the inspection process for the upcoming academic session.
