The Draft Inland Vessels (Fire Fighting Appliances) Rules 2022.

The owner/operator and master of any new inland vessel, shall ensure that the vessel is constructed, maintained and operated under the requirements of these rules and the vessel is suitable for its intended service. No new inland vessel shall be issued with the certificate of survey under the Act and the Inland Vessels (Survey and Certification) Rules, 2022, unless such vessel complies with the safety requirements including the physical design of the inland vessel or equipment that the inland vessel must carry, or those which are operational or procedural in nature.

Ministry of Textiles issues clarification on PLI scheme for textiles.

As per the earlier notification dated 24th September 2021, The applicant will form a separate company under Companies Act, 2013, before commencement of investment under the production linked incentive scheme. Investment made in anticipation after 24th September 2021 may be taken into account to meet investment criteria.

The Shipping Bill (Post export conversion in relation to instrument based scheme) Regulations, 2022.

The application for conversion shall be filed in writing within a period of one year from the date of order for clearance of goods. Provided that the jurisdictional Commissioner of Customs, having regard to the circumstance under which the exporter was prevented from applying within the said period of one year, may consider and decide, for reasons to be recorded in writing, to extend the aforesaid period of one year by a further period of six months.

Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2022

The amendment provides that all new brick kilns shall be allowed only with zig-zag technology or vertical shaft or use of Piped Natural Gas as fuel in brick making and shall comply to these standards as stipulated in this notification.

Central Government lays down conditions for employing contract labourers in mines

The Central Government has allowed various coal companies under the aiges of Coal India Ltd., namely, the Eastern Coalfields Ltd, Sanctoria; Central Coalfields Limited, Ranchi; Bharat Coking Coal Ltd, Dhanbad; Western Coalfields Ltd, Nagpur; South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Bilaspur; Northern Coalfields Limited,
Singhaurali; and Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, Sambalpur, to employ contract labourers subject to conditions.
