The National Medical Commission (NMC) has preponed its Weekly Public Hearing from 7th September, 2023 to 6th September, 2023. This notice was issued on 4th September, 2023.

National Medical Commission Takes Steps to Prevent Fake Permissions for Medical Colleges

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has taken action in response to reports of fake Letter of Permission (LoP) and Continuation of Recognition (CoR) being issued to medical colleges in the name of the President or Members of the Boards. To curb such fraudulent activities, the NMC has introduced a new protocol for issuing LoPs, CoRs, and Appeal orders, which will now bear the digital signature of the concerned Member or President.

Certified RECD Vendors for Diesel Generators (Up to 1000 KVA) Announced

The list of certified vendors for the Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) applicable to Diesel Generators (DG) up to 1000 KVA has been released by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). These certifications are essential to ensure the environmental compliance and efficiency of DG sets. As of August 30, 2023, the following vendors have been certified for different capacity ranges.

Extension in release of Imported Consignments of Producers of 106 EEE items

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has clarified that the interim arrangement of release of imported consignments of producers of 106 EEE items shall be extended to 15th September, 2023. It may be recalled that CPCB had previously notified that this interim arrangement would be effective till 31st August, 2023.

PWPs directed to complete Generation of EPR Certificates

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has directed all Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) to complete Generation of EPR Certificates. The EPR Certificates for sales made in 2022-2023 must be generated on the Centralised EPR Portal for plastic packaging by 31st October, 2023.

ESIC directions to prevent delay in implementation of final decisions of courts by branches or divisions of ESIC

It is advised that all RDs/MSs/Deans/DDs of ESIC (in-charge) shall personally monitor all Contempt Cases filed in courts under their jurisdiction for complying of decision of Hon’ble Court, filling an appeal against the decision of the court, if required and dropping the same as soon as possible and update all legal cases in LIMBS Portal. It is also requested to send a monthly report (proforma attached) to the Headquarters regarding contempt cases.
