The suggestions received from the Regulated Entities in implementation of IRDAI Information and Cyber Security guidelines, 2023 will also be considered by the committee for suggesting appropriate changes in the current framework.

Revised Reporting format for AIFs

The report shall be submitted within 15 calendar days from the end of each quarter. The report for the quarter ending September 30, 2023 shall be submitted in the revised format by November 15, 2023. From quarter ending December 31, 2023 onwards, AIFs shall submit quarterly report in the revised format as mentioned at paragraph 5 above.

TRAI releases Consultation Paper on “Digital Inclusion in the Era of Emerging Technologies”

In the consultation paper, TRAI has analyzed various gaps in digital inclusion present in the country such as the mobile internet usage gap, rural-urban internet penetration disparities, gender gaps in internet access, etc. as well as gaps identified from some global indices. Proactively prioritizing inclusion can create an ecosystem that benefits every individual, fostering a more equitable and accessible digital economy.

Central Government further regulates Wheat Stock Limits

This amendment aims to regulate and maintain appropriate stock levels of wheat across the country. It is essential for all stakeholders, including traders, retailers, big chain retailers, and processors, to adhere to these revised stock limits. The amended provisions will remain in effect until March 31, 2024.

BIS revises Standards for Petroleum and Other Products

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised certain standards for Petroleum Products. This notification was published on 11th September, 2023. It has also established two new standards; IS 18387 : 2023 Gypsum Ceiling Tiles — Specification and IS/ISO 22383 : 2020 Security and Resilience — Authenticity, Integrity and Trust for Products and Documents — Guidelines for the Selection and Performance Evaluation of Authentication Solutions for Material Goods.
