Government of Goa Provides Agriculture Loans At Zero Percent Interest Rate on Kisan Credit Card

The Directorate of Agriculture extend a helping hand to the farmers by providing a lucrative interest subsidy scheme on crop loan. Under the scheme “interest Subsidy on loans for agriculture & allied activities” Government of Goa provide the interest subsidy of 4%o in addition to interest subsidy of 3% provided by Government of India for short term crop loan up to Rs.3.00 lakh and for long term crop loan up to Rs. 5.00 Lakhs. Interest Subsidy is also provided on working capital for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries activities. This results in farmers accessing loans at an unpredictable Zero percent interest rates, a pivotal step towards ensuring financial sustainability for the dedicated farmers. It is important to note that the interest subsidy is provided only upon prompt repayment of loans to the banks.

Chief Minister of Goa attends Utkarsh Scholarship Programs

The company supported 69 meritorious deserving students in Goa who will now be able to pursue higher professional studies with support of Vedanta Utkarsh Scholarship program. Vedanta Utkarsh Scholarship is awarded to shortlisted students especially from the economically weaker background, meritorious and who have performed well in the academics in the last three years including extra-curricular activities. Finally, they are evaluated and selected based on one-on-one interviews.

This portal has been designed to build a system that functions as a one-stop shop for all the approvals required by the investor and facilitates ease of doing business. The NSWS Portal for CDSCO will be independent of the SUGAM Portal or the cdscomdonline portal.

MNRE Notifies Membership To Its Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC)

The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced the membership to its Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC) ) for the resolution of unforeseen disputes arising in the implementation of contractual agreements related to renewable energy projects. This order was issued on January 1, 2024.

Guidelines on Management of Pyro-metallurgical Slags

The guidelines also outline specific areas where iron and steel slags can be used, such as cement production, aggregate in cement-concrete, and construction of roads and railways. Iron and Steel plants intending to use slag for other purposes are required to submit proposals to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) through the respective State Pollution Control Boards (SPCB) or Pollution Control Committees (PCC).

These amendments seek to foster sustainable practices and utilize industrial by-products for constructive purposes.
