The FSSAI on 8th August, 2022 has issued an advisory to central licensing authorities to not scrutinize products for which modification application is received unless there is a food safety issue or specific complaint reported against a product/FBO so as to avoid any inordinate delays in processing of modification applications. This advisory has been issued in pursuance of inordinate delays in processing of modification applications and the FBOs, especially in case of products covered under FSS (Nutraceutical) Regulations, 2022.
