The National Medical Commission (NMC) has requested all medical colleges and institutions to actively participate in the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan,” a nationwide health campaign for women. The campaign, which will run from September 17 to October 2, 2025, is being launched by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in close convergence with the “Poshan Maah” observed by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
The Abhiyaan will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Its central objective is to strengthen women’s health and nutrition, ultimately leading to the empowerment of families and communities. The NMC has called this a “unique opportunity” for all medical institutions to contribute to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat@2047.”
