National FPO Samagam 2025

In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision to strengthen Indian agriculture and make farmers self-reliant, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, is organizing the National FPO Samagam 2025 from 30th–31st October 2025 at the NCDC and NCUI Complex, Hauz Khas, New Delhi. The event celebrates the extraordinary achievements made under the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) Scheme and underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovation, inclusion, and market-driven growth in Indian agriculture.

Celebrating Farmer Entrepreneurship

The two-day Samagam brings together over 500 farmers representing 24 States and 140 districts, alongside Implementing Agencies (IAs), Cluster-Based Business Organizations (CBBOs), and progressive FPOs. A total of 267 FPOs will showcase their diverse products, with 57 exhibition stalls set up at the NCDC premises, reflecting the rich tapestry of India’s agricultural diversity.

From grains, pulses, millets, and spices to fruits, vegetables, honey, tea, and dairy products — the exhibition offers a glimpse into the entrepreneurial spirit of Indian farmers. Visitors will also witness value-added and processed goods such as pickles, jams, jaggery, herbal and organic products, nuts, and traditional hand-crafted foods, demonstrating how FPOs are adding value and branding rural produce for modern markets.

The showcase embodies the philosophy of “One India – One Agriculture”, bringing together farmer collectives from every corner of the nation — from the paddy fields of the East to the spice farms of the South — united by a shared goal of empowering farmers as producers, providers, and partners in India’s agricultural economy.

Knowledge Exchange and Market Linkages

Beyond exhibitions, the National FPO Samagam 2025 features technical sessions, panel discussions, and interactive workshops on critical themes shaping the future of Indian agriculture. Key sessions include:

  • Oilseed Production and Value Addition
  • Water Use Efficiency and Sustainable Irrigation Practices (by Ms. Archana Verma, AS & MD, NWM)
  • Natural Farming and Market Opportunities (organized by NMNF)
  • Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) – Credit Access and Infrastructure Development
  • Honey Production and Marketing (with NBB)
  • Digital Commerce and Market Access (session by Flipkart)
  • Fertilizer and Pesticide Management (session by HIL)
  • Agmark Certification Process (session by DMI)
  • Seed Production, Packaging, and Marketing (session by NSC)

A dedicated Buyer–Seller Meet will connect FPOs directly with agri-businesses, retailers, exporters, and e-commerce platforms, helping farmers secure sustainable market linkages and fair pricing for their produce.

Recognizing Excellence and Driving Innovation

The event will also felicitate high-performing FPOs, CBBOs, and Implementing Agencies for their exceptional achievements in mobilizing farmers, improving business performance, and advancing digital inclusion. These recognitions reflect the growing success of the 10,000 FPOs Scheme, which has empowered farmer collectives to achieve economies of scale, negotiate better market prices, and integrate modern technology into traditional agriculture.

Strengthening Rural Transformation

Speaking about the initiative, senior officials from the Ministry emphasized that FPOs are the backbone of a modern, resilient, and inclusive agricultural economy. Through collective action and capacity building, FPOs enable small and marginal farmers to transition from subsistence farming to commercial agribusiness models, enhancing both income and livelihoods.

The National FPO Samagam 2025 is more than an exhibition — it is a celebration of collaboration, innovation, and empowerment. It showcases how farmer collectives are reshaping India’s rural economy, integrating digital tools, and accessing national and global markets.

As India celebrates the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, this event stands as a testimony to the government’s resolve to create a vibrant, self-reliant, and equitable agricultural sector — one that honors the farmer as the cornerstone of the nation’s growth story.
