AIIMS Mangalagiri to Host National Conclave on Patient Safety

The conclave aims to foster a culture of patient safety in medical colleges by promoting high-quality, responsible healthcare practices. The discussions are expected to be particularly beneficial for newly established medical colleges and institutions, enabling them to reduce morbidity, mortality, and readmission rates.

The discussions will cover various domains of patient safety, including:

  • Medication and Surgical Safety
  • Infection Prevention and Control
  • Antimicrobial Resistance
  • Laboratory and Diagnostic Safety
  • Safe Blood Transfusion Practices
  • Biomedical Waste Management

Participants will include Executive Directors from major institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, and BHU, as well as Patient Safety Nodal Officers from medical colleges, representatives from health associations, the Quality Council of India, NABH, NABL, and paramilitary hospitals.
