New Regulations Governing Recognition of Medical Qualifications in Indian Systems of Medicine
According to the newly released guidelines, the degree-awarding bodies established in India, approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine are required to apply for the recognition of medical qualifications. The application process involves online submission through specified forms available on the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine’s website.
NMC Issues Teachers Eligibility Qualification Certificates
Individuals requesting reconsideration after submitting additional qualifications/ experience/ publications acquired post-initial application submission will be required to submit the requisite fee again. This policy aims to ensure that the NMC evaluates all applications based on the qualifications presented at the time of the initial submission, avoiding potential discrepancies arising from subsequent acquisitions.
DCI Announces Screening Test Dates
As per the ‘Dental Council of India Screening Test Regulations, 2009,’ eligible candidates must submit their duly filled-in application forms (available on the DCI website) by 10th December 2023. The application should include relevant particulars, the requisite fee, and necessary documents for candidate assessment.

Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023
The guidelines provides that no person, including any platform, shall engage in any dark pattern practice. “Dark patterns” shall mean any practices or deceptive design pattern using user interface or user experience interactions on any platform that is designed to mislead or trick users to do something they originally did not intend or want to do, by subverting or impairing the consumer autonomy, decision making or choice, amounting to misleading advertisement or unfair trade practice or violation of consumer rights. The guidelines have also listed the recognized dark pattern practices.

Designated entities shall apply for SCORES Authentication by end of financial year
As per the circular designated entities were required to apply for SCORES Authentication and/or for Application Programming Interface (API) integration with SCORES within such period so as to ensure that Designated Bodies can comply with provisions of the said circular by December 04, 2023 and onwards. It has been decided to extend the effective date of implementation of above said provisions to April 01, 2024.
