NSE Introduces of new functionalities in Penalty

NSE vide circular dated November 29, 2023 has announced Introduction of new functionalities in Penalty. These features are developed to assist members in understanding and adhering to various compliance requirements of the Exchange.

Withdrawal of ₹2000 Denomination Banknotes- status update

The ₹2000 banknotes continue to be legal tender. The facility for exchange of the ₹2000 banknotes is available at the 19 Issue Offices of the Reserve Bank (RBI Issue Offices)1 from May 19, 2023. From October 09, 2023, RBI Issue Offices, in addition to exchanging ₹2000 denomination banknotes across the counters, are also accepting ₹2000 banknotes from individuals / entities for deposit to their bank accounts. Further, members of the public from within the country can send ₹2000 banknotes through India Post from any post office in the country, to any of the RBI Issue Offices for credit to their bank accounts in India.

Annual General Body Meeting of Tiger Reserves of Tamil Nadu

The main motive of this meeting is to to provide financial and technical assistance to tiger reserve management for implementing tiger conservation plans, mobilizing resources for tiger habitat conservation, promoting eco-tourism and eco-development, raising public awareness about the importance of tigers and their habitats.

Terms and Conditions for Assignment of Forest Land on Lease

The Central Government, has issued a comprehensive order specifying terms and conditions for the assignment of forest land on lease to government and private entities. This order was issued under Van (Sanrakshan Evam Samvardhan), Adhiniyam, 1980. The order was issued on November 29, 2023.

Allocation of Remaining Quantities of Raw Petroleum Coke

It was unanimously decided to distribute the remaining 0.4 million tonnes of RPC to all eligible calciners on a pro-rata basis, following the existing methodology adopted by the DGFT. Certain criteria were laid out, including considerations for those who had not applied before, surrendered significant quantities, or featured in specific reports.
