Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) (Amendment) Rules, 2023

The rules revise the declarations to be made on packages of electronic products. The rules have stated that the package of electronic products shall declare the name of the manufacturer or packer or importer on the package itself. It shall also inform the consumers to scan the QR code for the address and other related information, if such information is declared through the QR Code and not declared on the package itself.

Ministry of AYUSH issues Guidelines for Central Sector Scheme for Ayurgyan

Formerly, the Ministry had two separate schemes for the promotion of AYUSH’s education and Research. The Ministry, through these guidelines, now proposes to merge both schemes under one umbrella scheme namely “AYURGYAN Scheme” to support Education, Research & Innovation in AYUSH by providing academic activities., training, Capacity Building etc.

IFSCA directions for Co-location facility offered by the Stock Exchanges

To ensure fair and equitable co-location services, the circular mandates that stock exchanges must provide such services within the limits of available space, power, cooling, and other facilities. The regulations apply to three scenarios: data centers owned and managed by the stock exchange, data centers owned by the stock exchange and managed by a third party, and data centers owned and managed by a third party with an outsourcing or contractual arrangement with the stock exchange.

National Quantum Mission

University Grants Commission on 21 June, 2023 has launched the National Quantum Mission aiming to seed, nurture and scale up scientific and industrial R&D and create a vibrant and innovative ecosystem in Quantum Technology. It has also been decided to set up a National Quantum Mission (NQM) under Ministry of Science and Technology.
