Medical Devices (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2022

The amendment has exempted the requirement of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSEs) or Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) Certificates for import, if the source is from an animal species from a country of origin recognized as having negligible Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy risk in accordance with the recommendations of the World Organization for Animal Health.

RBI issues notification on processing of e-mandates for recurring transactions.

The e-mandate framework prescribed an Additional Factor of Authentication (AFA), inter alia, while processing the first transaction in case of e-mandates / standing instructions on cards, prepaid payment instruments and Unified Payments Interface. For subsequent transactions with transaction values up to ₹5,000/- (AFA limit), prescription of AFA was waived.

Education Ministry to recognize in-service training received by Agniveers as credits for graduation.

The Union Cabinet on 14th June, 2022 approved an attractive recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the Armed Forces called AGNIPATH and the youth selected under this scheme will be known as Agniveers. AGNIPATH allows patriotic and motivated youth to serve in the Armed Forces for a period of four years. The AGNIPATH scheme has been designed to enable a youthful profile of the Armed Forces.
