The Ministry of Labour and Employment vide its notification dated 16th June 2022 has extended the public utility service status of services engaged in the uranium industry which is covered under item 19 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947) for another six months.
The Ministry has earlier granted an extension to the uranium industry for a period of six months, starting from 19th December 2021. This has now been extended for another six months with effect from 19th June 2022.
