Government introduces a new category of Ayush visa for foreign nationals seeking treatment under Indian systems of medicine
Introduction of Ayush Visa category is part of India’s roadmap for the Heal in India initiative of the government, which is intended at promoting India as a medical value travel destination. Ministry of Ayush and the ministry of Health & Family Welfare are working together to develop a one stop Heal in India portal to promote India as a Medical tourism destination of the world.
DGFT publishes database of norms ratified by any Norms Committee (NC) on Advance Authorizations
To access the database, applicant may visit the DGFT Website and navigate to Services -> Advance Authorisation/DFIA -> Ad-hoc norms.
DGFT clarification regarding condonation of delay in submission of installation certificate under EPCG Scheme
Under the EPCG Scheme, the authorization holders are required to submit the installation certificate confirming installation of the capital goods to the RA within the prescribed time period. It has been decided that in relaxation of the procedure, the RAs concerned may accept such installation certificates up to 31 .12.2023 for regularization purpose on payment of late fee of Rs. 10,000/- per authorization
DGFT general notes regarding Import Policy of food items
FSSAI has notified Authorized Officers to handle food import clearance at 161 food import entry points [covering 28 sea ports, 16 airports, 32 land customs stations (LCSs) and 85 inland container depots (ICDs).
Revised procedure for applying for Amnesty scheme for onetime settlement of default in export obligation by Advance and EPCG authorization holders
An online form in manual mode is developed in a standalone website, http://www.amnestyscheme.in. Exporters can also file an application under Amnesty Scheme through said website in manual mode.
DGFT clarification for closure/redemption of Advance/EPCG authorization
For Annual Advance Authorization cases, physical files may be submitted for redemption to the concerned DGFT Regional Authority(RA). On approval, the Authorization holders may submit Closure/EODC Status Update request online to RA for updation.

DGFT liberalizes and simplifies the policy for export of Drones/Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for civilian end uses from India
The export of Drones/UAVs not covered under the specified categories in SCOMET list in the foreign trade policy and capable of range equal to or less than 25 km and delivering a payload of not more than 25 kgs (excluding the software and technology of these items) and meant for only civilian end-use, will now be subject to General Authorization for Export of Drones (GAED), a onetime general license valid for 3 years.
