The government of Punjab extends the last date for digital driving license up-gradation till 15th January 2020.
The objective of campaign is to allow manual driving license holders to get their Driving License reflected in SARTHI application by submitting an online application at www.punjabtransport.org or www.sarathi.parivahan.gov.in.
Punjab cabinet has approved 100% Motor vehicle tax exemption to state stage carriage and educational institutions buses in Punjab till 31st December 2020.
The cabinet has also approved an extension of the Amnesty scheme, deferring payment of arrears of taxes, without interest and penalty, to March 31, 2021.
Ministry of Road Transport issues Motor Vehicle Aggregators Guidelines 2020.
The Guidelines shall be applicable to Aggregators on boarding transport vehicles in the Area of operation. The vehicles that may be integrated by the Aggregator shall include all motor vehicles under the Act and e-rickshaw.

Through this amendment it has made FASTag mandatory for all old four-wheelers purchased before December 2017 and for the old vehicles of M and N categories shall have Fastag by 1st January 2021.
Himachal Pradesh Motor Vehicle Taxation (Amendment) Bill, 2020
The amendment impose tax on motor cabs or maxi cabs which can be converted as personal motor vehicles, motor vehicles initially registered in any other State but being moved permanently to the State of Himachal Pradesh to be registered here for the first time and for Private Service Motor Cabs or Construction equipment vehicles already registered and paying tax on an annual basis for the remaining period of fifteen years.

Finance Department of NCT Delhi includes renting of motor vehicles in the list of services for which central tax shall be paid by recipient
The Finance Department of NCT Delhi vide notification dated 23 10 2020 has amended notification dated 30 June, 2017 to include the service of renting motor vehicle to carry passengers in the list of services for which central tax shall be paid on reverse basis by recipient of services.
Government of Jharkhand exempts commercial vehicles from road tax.
Vehicles of the Permit holders registered in the State of Jharkhand, who have paid their permit tax payable from March 24, 2020 or whose grace period is ending on or after March 24, 2020 shall be exempted from paying road tax.
