UGC have requested educational institutions to step up anti-ragging mechanism by way of adequate publicity through various mediums; constitution of Anti-Ragging committee and Anti-Ragging squad, setting up of Anti-Ragging Cell, installing CCTV cameras at vital points, Anti-Ragging workshops and seminar, updating all websites with nodal officers’ complete details, alarm bells etc. Regular interaction and counseling with the students, identification of trouble triggers and mention of Anti-Ragging warning in the institution’s E-prospectus and E-information booklets/brochures must be ensured.

Medical Colleges Risk Missing Out on New Courses Due to Late Filings

The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has categorically emphasized that all compliance reports and SAFs for both UG and PG courses must be submitted by April 30, 2024. Applications received after this date will not be processed for the 2024-25 academic year, and colleges risk disapproval without further communication.

Portal For NBEMS Credential Verification

The Credential Verification Online Portal (CVOP) is an online platform accessible through the NBEMS website. Organizations like employers, public authorities, and credential verification agencies can use the CVOP to submit verification requests for NBEMS-issued credentials. Candidates seeking verification of their NBEMS credentials will need to pay the required fee through the NBEMS Miscellaneous Fee Payment Portal before the organization can submit a verification request on their behalf.

ll centrally funded Universities/Colleges/Institutions including Law Universities are required to ensure strict compliance of Government of India orders/rules on the reservations in their institutions. State Universities including its affiliated/constituent colleges and other Institutes functioning within the state should follow the percentage of reservation for SC/ST & OBC as prescribed by the concerned state Government.

Veterinary Council of India Announces Elections for New Members
