The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs on 31st December 2019 extended the last date of filing declarations in Sabka Vishwas (Legacy Dispute Resolution) Scheme till 15th January 2020.
The scheme was introduced to resolve all disputes relating to Service Tax and Central Excise and it provides a one-time window to eligible persons to declare their tax dues and pay the same in accordance with the provisions.
Since the government has noted a huge interest amongst the taxpayers for this Scheme and the extension is to ensure that eligible taxpayers who have yet not applied to avail amnesty or relief under this scheme, can now avail the benefit.
