The Department of Food and Public Distribution has notified the Central Warehousing Corporation (Amendment) Rules, 2023. This notification was issued on 17th March, 2023 and shall be effective on or after 1st April, 2023.
The Central Warehousing Corporation (Amendment) Rules, 2023 further to amend the Central Warehousing Corporation Rules, 1963 in respect of the “Annual Statement of Accounts and Balance Sheet”.
As per the amendment rules, the Board shall cause the financial statements of the Corporation to be balanced on 31st March in each year and such financial statements shall be prepared in the manner specified under the Companies Act, 2013.
Additionally, the requirements of consolidated financial statements as required under the provisions of Companies Act
2013 and Accounting Standards notified thereunder shall not be applicable to such financial statements.
