The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has issued a Public Notice inviting comments, suggestions, and objections from stakeholders and interested persons on a new set of draft regulations. This public notice was issued on September 24, 2025.
The draft document, titled Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Appointment of Consultants) (Sixth Amendment) Regulations, 2025, was prepared in exercise of the powers conferred under the Electricity Act, 2003.
The purpose of the notice is to comply with the statutory requirement for previous publication, allowing the public to provide feedback before the regulations are finalized.

The last date for submission of comments, suggestions, or objections is October 25, 2025.
Comments should be sent in triplicate (3 hard copies plus a soft copy) to the Secretary, CERC, at the address mentioned in the notice. Submissions can also be sent via email to secy@cercind.gov.in and raam@cercind.gov.in.
Registered users are encouraged to upload their feedback through the SAUDAMINI Portal by accessing the “e-Regulation” link on the e-filing Home Page.
The CERC noted that comments received after the stipulated deadline may not be considered during the finalization of the regulations.
