The Office of Principal Accountant General Goa has informed that to address the gap in the availability of skilled accountants at the Local Government (LG) level nationwide, the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAGI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to formulate two short-term courses: Certificate course for Accountants of Panchayats and Certificate course for Accountants of Municipal Bodies. This Notification was published on 14.02.2024.
Registration for these courses is available via the weblink https://lba.icaiarf.org.in/. Certification will be awarded upon successful completion of the course, and participants ‘names will be available in the public domain. Candidates can choose their preferred language of instruction, including English, Hindi, Marathi, etc. The minimum age and qualification requirement for candidates is 18 years and having passed the 10+2 examination. The interested candidates from Goa can benefit from this opportunity.
