The Dental Council of India (DCI) has announced the revised schedule for the NEET UG 2025 online counseling (allotment process) for BDS seats, directing all dental colleges to strictly adhere to the updated last date of joining and the associated data upload requirements.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services, has notified the revised NEET UG Schedule for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. (Nursing) seats under All India Quota, Deemed, Central University, and State Quota.
Critical Deadline and Data Submission
The primary directive is focused on ensuring the timely and accurate submission of admission data to the DCI portal:
- The final cutoff date for students to join the BDS Course for the academic session 2025-26 is November 20, 2025.
- The date of commencement of the academic session will remain the same as September 22, 2025.
- College authorities must upload the details of all admitted students on the DCI Website using their already allotted login credentials on or before 12:00 midnight, November 20, 2025, positively.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
The DCI issued a strict warning regarding non-compliance with the cutoff date and data accuracy:
- Any admission claimed by college authorities after 12:00 midnight of November 20, 2025, will be deemed unauthorized, and Section 10B of the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1993, and/or Section 16A of the Dentists Act, 1948, shall be attracted.
- The DCI will presume that such students have not been admitted and is prepared to initiate action and penalize the college for furnishing wrong or incorrect information.
- Colleges are strictly warned to upload the details of only the genuine and bonafide admissions of their college. Any college found uploading details of students not admitted in their institution will face action, as this prevents the college where the student has actually taken admission from uploading the correct details.
Requirements for Data Integrity
The DCI has mandated specific procedures to ensure smooth data integrity and prevent last-minute issues:
- Dental institutions must make efforts to upload the details of students gradually, immediately after the date of joining for each round of counseling, rather than waiting for the cutoff date.
- Only student details uploaded on the DCI Website shall be considered. Any detail received via email, hard copy, or any other format shall not be considered at all.
- No request for an extension of time, excuse, or reason of technical fault shall be considered.
- Only the uploaded details will be forwarded to the State Dental Councils/Tribunals for the registration of the BDS degree.
