DCI Directs Dental Colleges to Upload MDS/PG Diploma Student Details by September 8

The DCI has issued a strong warning that any admissions claimed after the September 8 deadline will be considered illegal. In such cases, the DCI will presume that the student was not admitted for the academic session, and action may be initiated under Section 10B of the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1993, and/or Section 16A of the Dentists Act, 1948.

To avoid last-minute delays and technical issues, colleges are advised to upload student details gradually after each counseling round, rather than waiting for the final deadline. The DCI has emphasized that it will not entertain any requests for an extension of this deadline.

Colleges are also strictly warned against uploading details of students who have not genuinely been admitted to their institution. The responsibility for providing true, correct, and authentic information lies with the concerned college, and furnishing incorrect details may lead to penal action. The DCI will only consider student details uploaded to its official portal for forwarding to State Dental Councils for registration.
