The Dental Council of India (DCI) has announced a revised deadline for all dental colleges to upload student admission details for the BDS course for the academic session 2025-26. The new last date for joining the BDS course is now November 5, 2025. The academic session remains set to commence on September 22, 2025.
All dental college authorities are now directed to upload student details to the DCI website by midnight on November 5, 2025. Any admissions claimed after this deadline will be considered illegal, with legal action possible under Section 10B of the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1993, and/or Section 16A of the Dentists Act, 1948.
Guidelines for Compliance
To ensure a smooth process and avoid technical issues, the DCI has provided the following directives:
- Gradual Uploading: Colleges should not wait until the last minute and are instead encouraged to upload student details after each round of counseling.
- Genuine Admissions Only: A strict warning has been issued against uploading false or non-bona fide admissions. The DCI will only consider student details uploaded to its official portal for forwarding to State Dental Councils for degree registration.
- No Extensions: No requests for an extension of the deadline or for submissions via email or hard copy will be considered. Colleges are responsible for making all necessary arrangements to complete the task on time.
