The Bihar Government has issued the draft Social Security (Bihar) Rules, 2021 on 1st March, 2021. All objections and suggestions shall be mailed to lcbihar@bihar.gov.in. within twenty-one days from the date of publication. The rules provides for constitution of Bihar Building and Others Construction Workers Welfare Board, Social Security Organization and Employees Insurance Court.
The new rules provides that provides that in the case of nominee, or an heir, who is minor, the competent authority shall invest the gratuity amount deposited with him for the benefit of such minor in term deposit with the State Bank of India or any other Nationalized Bank.
