Empowering Female Workers: Strengthening Workplace Security

In the aforementioned notification: i. Regarding serial numbers 7, 9, and 13, and their respective entries, the following serial numbers and entries shall be substituted: “7. Between the hours of 07:00 PM and 06:00 AM, a minimum of three female workers must be employed within the factory premises or department. 9. The employer is required to submit a monthly report, either electronically or through other means, to the Inspector of Factories in the relevant region detailing the engagement of female workers during night shifts. Additionally, the employer must promptly inform the inspector of any incidents of sexual harassment. 13. In the event of any violations of the conditions outlined in this notification by the employer of a factory, a notice shall be issued to the employer identifying the specific violations. The employer will then be directed to rectify these violations within seven days of receiving the notice. ” ii. Following the existing serial number 13, a new serial number 14 shall be added: “14. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras must be installed throughout the factory premises and in the transportation vehicles used for female workers during night shifts. Furthermore, the transportation utilized for transporting female workers during night shifts must be equipped with GPS technology for tracking purposes.” This notification was published on February 19, 2024.
