The Bureau of Indian Standards on 10th March 2022 has published the Ethylene Dichloride (Quality Control) Order, 2022 through which it has notified 12th September 2022 as the date on which the Ethylene Dichloride (Quality Control) Order, 2021 shall come into force.
As per the order, Ethylene Dichloride shall conform to the IS standard (IS: 869 :2020) and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards, However this Order shall not be applicable to goods or articles meant for export.
Further the Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of Ethylene Dicholride.
