The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide its notification dated 28th May 2020 has decided to launch a food safety and compliance system (FoSCoS) by replacing the existing food licensing and registration system. FoSCoS is conceptualized to provide one point stop for all engagement of FBO with the department for any regulatory compliance transaction.
The food safety and compliance system shall be launched on 1st June 2020 in the states/UTs of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Gao, Delhi, Odisha, Manipur, Chandigarh, Puducherry, and Ladakh. All licenses and registrations pertaining to the states will be available on the portal. The users can log in into this new portal with their FLRS login details. However, all manufactures holding FSSAI license shall need to modify their license to choose from the available list of standardized products that can be done without any modification fee before 31st December 2020.
