The government has extended the deadline for stakeholders to submit comments and suggestions on the Draft Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
The draft Bill was initially circulated on October 9, 2025, with an original submission deadline of November 8, 2025 (thirty days from circulation).
In response to requests from several stakeholders for additional time to examine the Bill’s provisions in detail, the Ministry has decided to extend the timeline. The new deadline for submission of comments and suggestions is November 30, 2025.
