Government of Odisha extends COVID-19 lockdown till 30th April

The Revenue and disaster management department of Odisha in its order dated 9th April 2020 has extended the lockdown in the state till 30th April to contain the spread of COVID-19. Odisha is the first state in the country which extended the lockdown period.

However, Activities related to agriculture, animal husbandry and services by health department, police, home guards, etc will be facilitated during the lockdown period, strictly following social distancing norms.

Hospitals and all related medical establishments, including their manufacturing and distribution units, both in public and private sector, such as dispensaries, chemist and medical equipment shops, laboratories, clinics, nursing homes, ambulance, etc. will continue to remain functional. The transportation for all medical personnel, nurses, paramedical staff and other hospital support services shall be permitted.
