Government of Rajasthan notifies a series of remissions of certain stamp duties. These notifications were issued on 10th February, 2023.
As a matter of public interest the Government of Rajasthan has decided to remit stamp duty chargeable on the instruments of immovable property having market value up to Rs. fifty lakhs. These instruments must be executed for the purposes of establishment of workplace for a start-up having eligibility certificate under the Rajasthan Start-up Policy, 2022.
The remission shall be as under:
(i)In case of instrument of conveyance in favour of any start-up having more than 50% equity with founder member(s) of 18 to 35 years of age and
(ii)In case of instrument of lease for a period exceeding 10 years in favour of any startup having more than 50% equity with founder member(s) of 18 to 35 years of age
The State Government has also remitted the stamp duty chargeable on the instrument of loan agreement to be executed by the Housing & Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) in favour of the Rajasthan Urban Drinking Water, Sewerage & Infrastructure Corporation Limited (RUDSICO) for loan of Rs. 2235 crores.
