The Goods and Service Tax Network(GSTN) on 28th November 2019 has issued an FAQ for scanning documents and reducing file size for uploading supporting documents with the refund application.
Taxpayers shall upload the supporting documents while filing their refund application in form GST RFD-01. The Taxpayer shall upload 4 documents upto 5MB Each. Mobile based scanning application can also be used for scanning invoices/debit/credit notes to get the output in consolidated PDF form which can be uploaded along with the refund application.
