The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has issued a notification directing all nursing institutions to maintain a single, permanent email ID for all official correspondence related to INC suitability applications. The move is a continuation of a circular from May 25, 2021, and is intended to streamline communication for applications concerning new institutions, renewals, and enhancements under Sections 13 and 14 of the INC Act.
Under the new directive, institutions must use the same unique and permanent email ID for all applications. The INC has also made a significant shift in its communication policy, stating that all correspondence will now be sent exclusively through email, with physical post or courier services no longer being used.
In cases where an institution needs to change its registered email ID, the request will only be processed after the institution submits a notarized affidavit.
The notification clarifies a few exceptions for certain online applications (S.No. 1 to 5) available on the INC website. For these, institutions can download letters directly using their user ID and password, and the INC will not use email for general correspondence. However, emails will still be sent for specific purposes, such as providing URLs and inspection details.
This measure is designed to create a more efficient, secure, and digital system for communication between the INC and all nursing institutions.
