Key Details of the Draft Notification
- The extension is made under Section 1(5) of the ESIC Act, 1948.
- This move is in consultation with the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and with the approval of the Central Government.
- The notification partially supersedes previous notifications concerning the number of employees for ESIC applicability.
- The new applicability covers establishments employing 10 or more persons on any day in the preceding 12 months.
