The Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide its notification dated 23rd June 2020 has notified the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Second Amendment Rules, 2020.
Through this amendment, MCA has extended the provision for all the Board meetings to approve its financial statements through Video Conferencing (VC) or Other Audio-Visual Means (OAVM) till September 30, 2020.
The move comes in the backdrop of the Covid-19 induced lockdown affecting the functioning of corporates in the country.
