The Ministry of Power has extended the tenure of its three Conciliation Committees of Independent Experts (CCIEs) for an additional six months, effective September 22, 2025. This extension is to ensure the continued resolution of contractual disputes for projects implemented by Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) and Statutory Bodies under the Ministry’s administrative control.
The CCIEs were originally constituted on March 22, 2022, under a conciliation mechanism established by the Ministry. The validity of these committees had been previously extended for a six-month period starting March 22, 2025.
The latest extension will last until March 22, 2026, or until a new CCIE panel is constituted, whichever comes first. The committees will continue to function according to the Standard Operating Procedure outlined in the original Office Memorandum of December 29, 2021.
