Transition Details

The notification specifies that older standards, including IS 629 : 2013 for bicycle hub assembly and several textile-related standards, will be withdrawn on April 15, 2026. Until this date, both the established 2025 standards and the older versions will remain in force concurrently, providing industries with time to adapt to the updated specifications.

The newly established standards also include two crucial benchmarks for digital security: IS 19278 (Part 1) : 2025, which details the procedures for the creation and validation of AdES Digital Signatures, and IS 19332 : 2025, which provides the framework for standardizing signatures, along with definitions and abbreviations.
