The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued an amendment to its National Medical Commission (Recognition of Medical Qualification) Regulations, 2023, introducing the “National Medical Commission (Recognition of Medical Qualification) Regulations (Amendment), 2025.” This change will come into effective from July 17, 2025.
The core amendment involves the deletion of Part one of Clause 7 of the Principal Regulations, which was previously titled “Application fee”.
Clause 7 will now stipulate that “Any foreign authority in any country outside India, entrusted with the recognition shall remit $ 10000 (US dollars ten thousand only) per qualification as fees to the Commission while submitting its application in a proforma”.
