The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released updated seat matrices for both undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (PG) broad specialty courses, incorporating recent changes in sanctioned seats for the Academic Year 2025-26. These notices ensure transparency by making the most current seat data available to all stakeholders ahead of the counseling process.
MBBS Seat Matrix Update
The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) issued a public notice on October 29, 2025, confirming the updated MBBS seat matrix as of that date.
This revision follows the seat matrix circulated on October 17, 2025. The instant seat matrix is available on the official NMC website.
All medical institutions, parents, and students participating in NEET-UG 2025 are requested to take note of the changes.
PG Broad Specialist Seat Matrix Finalized
The NMC also released a public notice for the postgraduate broad specialist (BS) seat matrix as on October 30, 2025.
This revised matrix includes the seats granted to Government Medical Colleges for the Academic Year 2025-26. The final seat matrix for Broad Specialist (BS), including the newly granted seats, has been uploaded to the NMC website.
Counseling authorities are specifically directed not to wait for Letters of Permission (LoPs) from institutions to include them in the counseling process. The matrix uploaded on the website is to be considered the valid document for the counseling process.
The information is essential for all parents and students participating in NEET-PG 2025 (BS).
