The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has published a circular notifying the opening of PCI Portal for New Institutions for 2023-2024 academic sessions. This circular was notified on 4th April, 2023.
The circular states that the portal will be open from 3rd April, 2023 to 9th April, 2023. This is available for the following categories of instituitions:
- new institutions which were rejected during 2022-2023 academic session need to fill only Standard Inspection Form (SIF) without Pharmacy Education Regulatory Charges (PERC)
- new institutions which have approval for 2023-2024 academic session need to fill only SIF without PERC
- new institutions which intend to apply for the first time for 2022-2023 academic session need to fill SIF along with PERC
- new institutions which were granted approval for 2022-2023 academic session and also for 2023-2024 academic session need to fill only SIF without PERC
Moreover, for the approval of D. Pharm and B. Pharm the PCI has framed Schemes. These schemes require that certain statutory forms be mandatorily submitted. These documents shall be legible and in English and shall be duly signed by the principal.
Furthermore, the circular also states that PERC can be paid through multiple payment gateways including BillDesk and SBI. However, security deposit is not currently available.
