The Reserve Bank of India vide its notification dated 26th June 2020 has decided to extend the validity of the enhanced borrowing limit under marginal standing facility scheme till 30th September 2020.
RBI in its earlier notification dated 27th March 2020 has increased the borrowing limit of scheduled banks under the MSF scheme, by dipping into the prescribed SLR, from 2 per cent to 3 per cent of their Net Demand and Time Liabilities (NDTL) outstanding at the end of the second preceding fortnight with immediate effect and it was available up to June 30, 2020.
However, RBI has now decided to extend this enhanced limit till September 30, 2020.
