The Central Government through notification dated the 26th July, 2021 on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, has amended the notifications dated 30th June, 2017 and 1st February, 2021 issued under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. As per the amendment, the Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess leviable upon Lentil (Mosur) in excess of 10% is exempted. Previously the rate of maximum Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess was 20% for Lentil.
This notification shall come into effect on 27th July, 2021.
