The Department of Telecommunications has vide notification dated 13.03.2020 has relaxed the terms and conditions for the Other Service Providers(OSP) issued vide letter No. 18-5/2009-CS-I dated 7.10.2011 in respect of Work From Home(WFH). Exemptions to many requirements are extended in public interest and in answer to requests of OSPs in the context of outbreak of Corona Virus.
The requirement for agreement for work from home, security deposit, secured VPN and prior permission for WFH facility is exempted till 30.4.2020. The agents at home shall now be treated as the extended agent position of the OSP.
The exemptions shall be effective immediately.
