Rescue Operations by Tamil Nadu Government for People Affected by Cyclone Mijam and Floods

Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu have been severely affected by Cyclone Mijam and floods. The Government of Tamil Nadu is taking various steps to rescue the public from these effects and provide them with the relief. This Press release was released by Tamil Nadu Government on the date of 06.12.2023.

Tamil Nadu Government releases contact numbers of Individual Volunteers and NGO’S who can help people who are affected by the Cyclone Mijam and Floods. These contact numbers can be found on the Government website https://www.tn.gov.in/pressrelease. National and State Disaster Response teams, Police Department, Fire and Rescue Department are heavily involved in the rescue operations work and people are rescued from flooded areas by boats. A Help Desk has been set up at the State Disaster Control Center in Ezhilak Campus, Chennai to coordinate them and send them to places of need.
