Revised BIS quality control orders for metals

The Central Government has issued following quality control orders to revise BIS standards of corresponding products:

1. The Copper (Quality Control) Order, 2023.
2. Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys (Quality Control) Order, 2023.
3. Nickel (Quality Control) Order, 2023.

These Goods shall conform to revised Indian Standard and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards in accordance with Scheme-1 of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority for the goods or article.
