The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has issued a Master Circular for Securities and Exchange Board of India (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011 (Takeover Regulations). This Circular was issued on 16th February 2023.
Master Circular for Takeover Regulations will enable stakeholders to have access to the provisions of the applicable circulars at one place.
With the issuance of this Master Circular, the directions/instructions contained in the circulars listed out in Annexure-V to this Master Circular shall stand rescinded. However, anything done or any action taken or purported to have been done or taken including any enquiry or investigation commenced or show cause notice issued in respect of these circulars, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Master Circular.
