As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Rolls, 2024 is being conducted across the State of Tamil Nadu from 27.10.2023 to 05.01.2024.
As a part of the process of SSR, Special campaign dates were announced by the Election Commission of India, on 04.11.2023, 05.11.2023, 18.11.2023 and 19.11.2023, which are Saturdays and Sundays at the designated locations to facilitate the electors to enroll their name and make correction of entries in the Electoral Roll. Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India has modified and announced the Special Campaign dates as 25.11.2023 (Saturday) & 26.11.2023 (Sunday) instead of 18.11.2023 (Saturday) & 19.11.2023 (Sunday), since 18.11.2023 (Saturday) has been declared as a working day by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Already special campaigns in this regard have been completed on 04.11.2023 and 05.11.2023.
