The Chief Executive Officer of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), has directed a 100% inspection of all Packaged Drinking Water (PDW) facilities across Maharashtra. FSSAI Upgrades Food Packaging Material to “Critical” in Inspection Checklists
The new checklist requires that packaging material used shall have Certificate of conformity issued by NABL accredited laboratory against the FSS (Packaging) Regulations, 2018. Inspectors will check for records of this conformity certificate during inspections.
Multi-Lingual FoSCoS Portal to Boost Food Safety Compliance
FSSAI envisions that the multi-lingual FoSCoS portal will create a safer and more compliant food ecosystem nationwide. Extension for filing FSSAI Annual Return for FY 2022-2023
All the food manufacturers (including manufacturer-exporters) and importers are required to submit annual return by 31st May of each year. The current notice has provided an relaxation in the timeline for submissions of annual returns for FY 2022-2023, up to 30th June, 2023.
