The Government of Haryana vide its gazette notification dated 29th April 2020 has decided to relax certain provisions from the factories act relating to working hours, daily hours, etc. of adult workers due to COVID-19 pandemic which shall be in force till 30th June 2020.
The total number of hours of work in any day shall not exceed 12 hours and that no worker shall work for more than 6 hours before he has had an interval of at least 30 minutes and the wages for the overtime shall be paid.
Further, the exemption will not provide any immunity from any other section or rules of this Act, and the guidelines relating to social distancing, sanitization, etc. shall be strictly followed.
