The government of Tamil Nadu has provided concessions for affected sections of society in view of lockdown

The State Government of Tamil Nadu in its press release dated 31st March 2020 has announced concessions MSME’s, Co-operative Societies and SIPCOT’s in view of the corona virus lockdown, as they’re the most affected.

The following concessions are provided to the people who are suffering due to statewide lockdown:

  1. The Repayment of loans availed by MSME units from Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation has been extended for three months (Till 30th June 2020). The government has announced a new scheme COVID Relief and Development Scheme, to benefit MSME units who have availed loans from the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC).
  2. The Repayment of installments for cooperative housing societies and Tamil Nadu Housing Board has been extended for 3 months and the Repayment of installments for the loans availed from all fishermen cooperative societies and handloom cooperative societies has also been extended for 3 months.
  3. Soft loans availed by industrial units from SIPCOT and Payment of Maintenance Charge by industrial units which function in SIPCOT Industrial Parks has been allowed to make the payment after 3 months.
  4. Further Renewal of Licence and FC for Vehicles under Motor vehicle Act and Renewal of licenses under Weights and Measures Act, TN Shops and Establishment Act and Dangerous and Offence Act has also been extended for a period of 3 months.
